David (Satch) is an absolute gentleman who recognises that your instrument is precious to you regardless of what it is or how much it might be worth to anyone else. He has a great eye for what can be done and talks you through options for repairs from conservative measures to radical surgery! He gives straightforward estimates of cost and talks you through any work he plans whilst you are there. David's work is superb and he clearly draws on his years of experience on all brass instruments. His calm manner is very reassuring (particularly when you are putting your damaged instrument into his hands) and his work lives up to the high standards that he implies. What a find - I'm so glad that my frantic Google search came up with David (Satch), after I unwisely bought a non-functional double French horn on eBay. Within a few days and at an entirely reasonable price he had restored this beautiful instrument to its full glory. He has years of experience and is so welcoming and full of good advice.
